Sadly, no background.  I tried to do a bit of sketch, but I could not pull it off.

This is a poor excuse of update after days of idle.  I have a lot other sketches, but I am not ready to post them yet.  I will try to get some of the art done while playing Final Fantasy XIII.

Also, I need story for me to draw manga (since my friend has been chasing me to get me to draw).

Finally it’s done.  A page of an introduction of Elise.  Hope it brings life to her character now.

I had a big problem with the paneling.  I never know it can be so hard!

I decided not to ink it since it will make some mistakes noticeable.  Actually doing this is kind of fun and let’s see if I will do it again. : )

Here it is, the full version of my latest revision of Elise.  There had been a huge contemplation on what colors I should choose, but I just simply pick anyway.  I removed her glove on her right hand because it looks a bit out of place.

The full Elise is drawn in ink on paper and colored on Photoshop.  I wanted to outline on Photoshop as well since my inking took huge amount of time, but I could not get the outline done properly.  I think I will stick with my old fashion way for a while.

I am going to post my second revision of Emily as well (some other time).

I figured that I should focus on my own characters for a while since I have been neglecting them.  I have been doing revision for Elise and this is what I come out with so far.  It’s called v1, because I might do other version as well.  I know 1 is not really accurate since I had been revising her a lot in the past.

I altered a bit of the hair, so now her ears are no longer visible.  I also gave her a longer hair, the result is she now looks pretty normal.  (Normal is good, right?).

I’ll post the full body once I am finished coloring it.

A random drawing.

Another going to school event. Inspired when I was walking back from office (on Thursday I think) and I saw two girls were holding hands.  Actually there were three of them.  I did draw the third person, but I decided not to include it in the final version.

I wanted to create a more cartoon-like feeling drawing of my previous drawing, sharper edges and more black contrasts.  Overall I am pretty satisfied with the drawing.  My only problem is the background.

If you notice the date on the left corner, that is the date of finishing inking of the drawing.

A cliche event of school girls walking to school.

I actually enjoy drawing Elise and Kyrie together.  I don’t know why.  Anyway, I could not draw a good background and hence you can see the failed attempt of supposedly walls and… ok, there are only walls.  We need a electric pole somewhere.  Get a garbage bin as well while you are at it.  I can’t help but it reminds me of Doraemon, maybe because Doraemon was one of the first manga I read.  There are plenty of ‘going to school’ event, too.

Apology for the lack of updates.  Borderlands and Brutal Legend have been keeping me occupied for a while.  I am not trying to give excuses, but I didn’t installed the scanner driver and Photoshop after I installed Windows 7.  Hence the non-existent sluggish update

I think I begin to enjoy this kind of cute drawing, I might do this more before I move on to do other stuff (drawing related).  The colors turn out to be brighter once I export the drawing from Photoshop which is quite annoying.

Actually it might be better since brighter colors give you a livelier atmosphere which fits perfectly for a cartoon-like drawing.
